Homeward bound.
Can’t recall one thing I did well today,
in my practice of medicine.
I will do better. Next time.
I arrive.
A thin maple stands in the yard,
brown leaves clinging to brittle branches.
Encircling it, dormant plants
with flowers tucked in away from the cold.
A reminder—
sometimes, just being
is enough.
